Digital Evidence Training

Our digital evidence training is designed in accordance with the requirements of the National Occupational Standards for Countering E-Crime. The significance of this has increased following the appointment of the UK Forensic Science Regulator, who is working to ensure that the provision of forensic science services across the criminal justice system is subject to an appropriate regime of scientific quality standards. This includes digital evidence and covers the competence, training and qualifications of the practitioners providing those services.

We have developed specific courses to assist those who are charged with the seizure, recovery and analysis of digital evidence and are able to provide bespoke digital evidence training to individual organisations upon request (Email: enquiries@technologyrisklimited.co.uk).

You may wish to download the course information sheets for the following courses to see if they are suitable for your staff.

Course 1 – Recognising and Dealing with Electronic Evidence

This course is designed to provide an investigator with the knowledge and skills to effectively recognise and deal with electronic evidence sources to support their responsibilities as part of a criminal or civil investigation and how to ensure the evidence is admissible in court or internal proceedings.

Course 2 – Introductory IT Forensics

This course is designed for those entering the field of IT forensics. It is an entry level course for new practitioners and will allow them to begin their career with knowledge and skills in dealing with electronic evidence that cannot be simply seized as well as providing the fundamental knowledge to be able to investigate, evaluate and report on electronic evidence sources to support their responsibilities as part of a criminal or civil investigation and ensure the evidence is admissible in court or other proceedings.
