Online Investigation Training

These specialised courses have been developed to allow investigators to use technology in support of their intelligence gathering or investigative functions. Most traditional investigations may have a technology component whether it be the collection of digital evidence or the ability to use the resources of the Internet to gather information about suspects and their crimes. In the most serious cases, it may be necessary to interact with these individuals on line. In order to conduct this type of activity it is necessary for the investigator to gain a new range of skills and an understanding of technology as well as the risks they may face.

As with all our training, we are able to deliver the following courses as they are offered here or to work with clients on request to develop training to meet their specific requirements. (Email: enquiries@technologyrisklimited.co.uk).

Course 1 – Acquiring Online Information Training

This course is designed to provide an investigator with the knowledge and skills to effectively locate, acquire and use online information as part of a criminal or civil investigation and how to ensure it is admissible in court or internal proceedings.
